Emergency CareThe life of a veterinarian is composed of providing preventive and wellness care as well as ensuring our clients are supported by the best emergency care possible, 24 hours a day seven days per week.

During our regular business hours, we are available to help you with any emergency your pet experiences. If possible, please call beforehand so we can prepare for your arrival.

When To Seek Emergency Care For Your Pet

The easiest answer as to whether you should seek emergency care for a pet is when you feel his or her medical condition is serious and cannot wait. However, the following general situations should help you determine if you need to seek out emergency care for your pet:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Acute abdominal swelling
  • Electric shock
  • Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
  • Excessive bleeding
  • Laceration, cut or bite wound
  • Exhibits symptoms of heat stroke or hypothermia
  • Seizures
  • Collapse
  • Snake bites
  • High or low temperature (more than 104 or less than 100 degrees)
  • Unable to urinate or defecate
  • Any pet hit by a vehicle
